What a weekend of fun we had in Chicago! We squeezed in fun, laughs and hugs with some darling friends and loved ones, and managed a night in a hotel on Michigan Ave. (thank you, Hotwire) as a little respite in between all of the visits. What a perfectly delightful getaway and mini babymoon! Some evidence below...
Paul can hardly contain his excitement over the music gifts from J and L - Lullaby Renditions of U2 (seen here) as well as a most folksy and fun Kids in the City (our little lady will be an honorary Chicago babe!).
Out to dinner with our beloved friends (and the givers of good baby music) before the show at Second City.
Wyatt was there too! Seated at the show and gearing up for laughfest 2010...
Paul contemplates the program. Ahhhh, I love you and your absolute hilariousness, Second City!
Hugs and babies and dance therapy talk ensued the next morning with my beloved grad school friends...
Followed by squeezes on Sunday for my Chicago family...can't believe Miss M was only 17 months when I started watching her (tear!).
Paul, the ever good sport, gets decorated with bendaroos by the girls.
And it wouldn't have been a trip to Chicago without a pitstop on the way out of town at Ikea...little girl scored a few stellar wooden toys to round out the weekend.
Miss you all already. Sweet home Chicago.
