Yesterday was the big day...we learned the gender of our little Baby L! We all three (er, make that four!) went together to the ultrasound, but had the ultrasound tech keep the baby's gender a secret and instead put the telling picture in an envelope for us to take with us. After the appointment, we went out to breakfast where we opened the envelope. Oh so fun. And oh so surprising - definitely the opposite of what my "gut" was saying!
Even more fun, we jumped on the gender reveal cake bandwagon (why not?!?) and held out from telling our dear Lifegroup until we met tonight (if you know me well, you know that, for me, waiting a day with exciting news is a very long wait!). I had a great time making the cake last night and enjoyed the scene of the cake cutting this evening very much. So here you have it...

| Very pink! Unfortunately the batter was a better pink that the baked cake... |

Such fun. Two girls! Holy cow! Quite overwhelming and exciting, all at the same time. Because I was much sicker in the first trimester this time around than I was with A, I was so sure it was a boy. Surprise to me! We couldn't be more grateful for our little baby girl. And the new motto around this house...go pink or go home. Little girls!
