| Well, Miss Adah isn't officially one until May 12th, but we did our celebrating over the weekend! |
| We had friends over for a party yesterday, and did it up right with lots of homemade cupcakes. My mom is visiting for the weekend and helped to decorate the "big cupcake" - delicious carrot cake. Adah threw hers on the floor after one teeny tiny taste. (Although we think it was mostly because she wanted to play and not be in her high chair!) |
| Here we are before the party, Adah, looking skeptical, is sporting her awesome crown from my dear friend Jen (it actually stayed on for several minutes!) |
| Adah had many friends who helped to play and make her day special, and of course, it wouldn't have been a party without "Ti-tin." Here she is clapping for him while he does his silly squawking dance. |
| Of course, Adah's daycare swap buddy Max made an appearance at the party. Too cute. |
| We also took a party field trip over to the neighbor's house to see the real live chickens - yup, that's right. Real chickens. Next door. Arrived just a few weeks ago. Unbelievable. |
| And rounded out the day with reading new books with Adah's Chicago aunties. |
| Even books with farm animals! |
| Today the weather was absolutely perfect for my first "official" mother's day (Adah arrived three days after last year). Here we are - three generations - enjoying lunch outside at the Great Dane. Free mimosas for mothers - what?!? Yes. |
| And our sweet girl. Can't even believe it's been a year. Amazing. | | |
