Of yet another green Christmas! Last Saturday, in the midst of a blizzard, some dear girlfriends and I met for the third annual Green Christmas Gift Exchange. Inspired by our church's involvement with Advent Conspiracy, this party has become a favorite tradition of mine at this time of year. Each guest makes 6-8 items (or however many they can get done before the party...) and then we go "shopping" amongst the goods. Sometimes we end up "accidentally" shopping for ourselves as well as for gifts...but either way, it is so inspiring to see the creative, wonderful things my friends come up with. And it gives me something to think creatively towards each year, which might be my favorite part of all (goal: to be sewing gifts for next year's exchange, I'll keep you updated on progress towards this...).
