We are officially on week two of being sans internet at home. I'm writing to you from the beloved library, only two blocks away from our house. I have never, ever been so grateful for living near the library. What used to be mere convenience is now my link to sanity.
Okay, obviously, I'm being dramatic. It has been a definite change and obnoxiously annoying and inconvenient not to have internet at home, but in some ways it has been...freeing. Yeah, that right there totally spells out what an addict I am (was?). But it is true - I have made good soups, wine cork trivets galore and half a dance in the past week of wireless-ness. So three cheers to that.
Today we had our first giant snowfall in the land of Madison and that meant the first snow day of the season. Ah, bliss. It has been a perfect day. Well, other than the shoveling and driving in freezing rain and taking forever to get anywhere. Minor details.
Latest news here is that I can't wait for my friend B's green Christmas party this weekend. Every guest is bringing five homemade items and then we'll spread them all out and each leave with five different, creative, homemade gifts. Isn't it the best idea ever?!? I can't wait. And now that I've had the snow day to prepare my own goods, I am ready to "shop" green amidst my friend's creations.
That will be it for now. Far too many emails to catch up on to blog for too long!
Au revoir, internet friends.
