So highlights.
First, Paul and I went to NYC - my first visit! We visited friends old and new and I attended the dance therapy annual conference. Highlight: the Saturday night banquet and dance. Within 3 seconds (not exxagerating) of the band starting up the dance floor was rushed with 95% of the people in the room. Hilarious. A picture of the weekend:
We hurried home early only to hop in the car and drive to Nebraska to celebrate the life and passing of my amazing grandmother, Elta. It really made me miss my prairie roots, inherently linked to my father, and the Meyer cousins. They pretty much rock.
So then it was back home to jump into rehearsals for my first show with the company I'm dancing with, which ran last weekend in Milwaukee. The weekend was fabulous. Highlights included a visit from two old Middlebrook Hall friends who saw a poster for the show and decided to come - I hadn't seen them since the U of M and it was fabulous!
And how can I forget? Sandwiched in between all of this Paul and I celebrated our first anniversary! Awwww.
More thoughtful and pithy posts to follow. For now, I must work on getting the children's songs on permanent rerun in my head to disappear!
