It's been a wonderful long weekend here. We finished up some house projects (pics above, more on that in a moment), celebrated Paul's birthday, and ushered in the arrival of fall weather with runs in long sleeves and pants and a fleece vest for the girl as we listened to Paul's band tonight. Why can't all weekends be three days long?!?
I've mentioned it before, but one of my very favorite websites is Design Sponge, specifically all of the amazing creations in the Before and After department. I seriously dream about being able to pull projects off with as much style and glam as those featured on the site. Sometimes, when we're thick in the midst of house projecting, I dream about an album of our house in the Before and After column on the site. It helps to motivate me a bit.
And so, for you tonight, my own not artsy at all before and after shots of recent projects. We finally seem to be wrapping up the kitchen finishing touches, and many thanks to the amazing Craigsl!st we acquired a "new to us" fridge this weekend AND sold our old fridge - all within about two hours of each other. Seriously that site is pure brilliance. We also finished all of the last of many coats of paint on upstairs window trim, and re-hung the now stained doors. Paul put the doors in months ago unfinished, and then returned to them in the last week to finish them for good. I adore the smell of newly stained wood...makes me think of my pops. And the doors look even better than they smell. Ah, we are getting there, bit by bit, project by project. House to home.
